Digital garden

A digital garden is a public-facing, hand-tended collection of notes — neither a polished blog nor a private journal. The gardener plants seed notes, tends and prunes them over time, and links them into a network of evolving thoughts. Notes here are explicitly works-in-progress, and that's part of the aesthetic.
Key distinctions from related formats:
- Not a blog — no reverse-chronological feed as the primary view, posts aren't dated as "published once, done forever".
- Not a wiki — voice is personal and opinionated, not neutral reference.
- Not a private notebook — it's deliberately shared to get feedback and force clarity.
The term was popularized by Maggie Appleton, Tom Critchlow, and others in the evergreen notes / Zettelkasten community circa 2019-2020. mindex is a digital garden in that tradition — public, tended, linked.
