Grafana Tempo

Tempo is a distributed tracing backend focused on storing trace IDs cheaply at scale, often fed by OpenTelemetry collectors and viewed in Grafana. It completes the “three pillars” story with Prometheus (metrics) and Loki (logs) in the LGTM stack. You still instrument apps (OTel SDKs) regardless of which trace store you choose.
