Google Analytics Account
Definition
A Google Analytics account is the top-level container for analytics configuration, access, and ownership. It can contain one or more Google Analytics properties.
Why It Exists
It separates organizational ownership from individual websites or apps. This lets one person or organization manage multiple products without mixing all settings into one flat space.
How It Fits Into The System
The hierarchy is: account -> property -> data stream -> events. Users and permissions are usually managed at the account or property level.
Important Details
One account can contain multiple unrelated properties. For a personal site, one account is usually enough.
Example
A personal Sargon Piraev account can contain properties for sargonpiraev.com, weathr, and future BUILD100 projects.
