Search Click

Definition

A click is a user click from a Google Search result to a URL on your site.

Why It Exists

It measures actual organic search traffic from Google Search.

How It Fits Into The System

Clicks are reported with impressions, CTR, queries, and pages in Search Console.

Important Details

Search Console clicks and Google Analytics sessions will not always match. They are measured by different systems at different points in the user journey.

Example

A user searches BUILD100, sees /build100, clicks it, and lands on the site. Search Console counts a click.
