Search Impression
Definition
An impression is counted when a URL from your site appears in Google Search results for a user.
Why It Exists
It measures search visibility before traffic happens. A page can be visible in results even when nobody clicks it.
How It Fits Into The System
Impressions are reported in the Performance Report. Together with clicks, they produce CTR.
Important Details
An impression does not mean the user visited your site. It only means the result was shown in the search experience.
Example
If /projects/weathr appears for the query ai weather app, that can count as one impression.
